It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mzee Vitalis Akendo Ondiek which occurred on 19th January 2026.
He was son of the late Mzee Ondiek Oloo and the late Teresia Jalango Ondiek. He was brother of the late Ahenda Ondiek.
He was beloved husband of Phoebe Auma Akendo. He was brother in-law of Eliud Orido, Abisai Ouma and Mary Opiyo among others.
He was dad of the (late Jackline Akinyi, late Raphael Ondiek), Benta Atieno, Lucy Margaret Akendo, Walter Akendo, Mary Akendo, Pauline Akendo, Leonard Naftali Akendo, Sylvia Akendo, Collins Akendo, Antony Akendo and Brenda Akendo.
Grandfather of (the late Benta), Diana, (late Victor), (late Eve), Ronny, Dennis, Derrick, Teddy, Emmanuel, Phoebe, Flo, Nat, Lindsey, Glen, Leon, Michael, Ryan, Austin and Nathan.
Great grandfather of Jackline, Joseph, Benta, Nikita and Kelsy. Great great grandfather of Terryanne and Chelsea.
He was father in-law of (the late Leah Odhiambo), Jens, Bjarne, Katharina, Charles,Victor, Mary and Teresa.
Friends and family are meeting daily at the family home in Usenge Village, Nyandiwa sub location Siaya County.
The burial will be held on 5th February 2026.
