It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of David Gitonga Amuru who departed on Wednesday 21st January 2026 after a long illness at Karen Hospital, Nairobi.
David was a renowned businessman known for his tenacity and dedication to work.
David was the son of Rael Kangai (deceased) and Simeon Murungi M’Amuru (deceased).
He was a brother of Christine Muriithi (deceased), John Kanyuru (deceased), Florence Muthoni, Atanacio Ngolua (deceased) and Severina Mwonjaru.
He was the loving husband of Hon Florence Kajuju and Doreen Kathure.
He was the father of Irene Karimi, Benson Mutembei, Dennis Mugaa, Matilda Mwendwa, Diana Kendi, David Mato Junior, Angel Kangai.
Family and friends are meeting at home in Kibuline Village, Mbeu Ward and at Kirogine, Ntima West Ward, Meru County on Wednesday the 28th and 29th of January 2026 from 5.00 p.m.
He will be buried on the 30th of January 2026 in Kibuline, Mbeu Ward, Tigania West Constituency in Meru County.
