It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Col. (Rtd) Dr. Daniel Musyoka Mbinda, MBS on Saturday 24th January, 2026.
He served honourably with the Kenya Defence Forces for 31 years.
Daniel was son of the late Samson Mbinda Nguku and the late Anna Mutheu Mbinda.
He was beloved husband of Susan Meli Mbinda.
Father of Kenneth & Monica Muoki, Kevin Mwendwa and Mbithe and Matthew Olsson. A doting grandfather of Jeff Jason and Jabari Muoki.
Son-in-law of the late Serah & Mwenze Mutie & Grace Mwenze.
He was brother of Mbula & Kivuva, Nzuki & Anna, Kaloki & Margaret, Musau- Jacinta & Susan, Ngungi, Lois Manundu, Ruth & Munyovoo, Dorothy & Maingi, Musyoki & Schola and the late Mwende.
Brother-in-law of Mutuku, Esther, Kanini,Victoria, Mbithi, Monica, Nzavi, Mutie & Nthunya.
Nieces/Nephews: Mukami, Musyoki, Mutheu, Kioko, Joel, Mbithi, Masila, Mwenze, Babu, Katanu, Kambua, Muuo, Mercy, Dennis, Nzisa. Uncle and Babu to many others.
A mentor, a colleague and a beloved friend to many including: Dr. Mutiso, David Mutunga and Dr. Gitau.
Condolence meetings and prayers will be held on Wednesday 28th January and Friday 30th January, 2026, from 5:30pm at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road.
Similar meetings will also be held in Watuka, Makueni and his Kibwezi home.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026 at Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road at 10:00am.
The burial will take place on Thursday, 5th February, 2026 in Watuka Village, Wote, Makueni County.
