It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Apostle Joseph Likavo which occurred on 18/12/2025 in Tampa FL USA.

He was born in 1957 in Imambo Village, Shinyalu, Kakamega County to the late Solomon & Malia Likavo. He was a brother of Magotsi (late), Peter (late), Richard, Frida, Thomas, Truphena, Florence & Patrick.

Joseph was a loving husband of Rev Janet Likavo and a father of Collins, Kevin, Dan and Joy. He was blessed with three daughters in-law and six grandchildren.

He was a resident of Eldoret City, Uasin Gishu County.

He was the founder, senior pastor and presiding bishop of IVC churches and auxiliary ministries including IMA, KABOD PRAYER MOUNTAIN, NAPRI, GIHON & major community projects like IVEC school & IVC Milimani Mission Hospital.

He also served as Vice Chair person of Evangelical Alliance of Kenya (EAK).

As a humble servant of God, Joseph was a father, a mentor, visionary and transformational leader whose life touched communities, nations, orphans, the low and mighty and many that came his way. He emptied himself to better someone else.

A memorial service shall be held on Tuesday 27/01/26 at the IVC church in Eldoret and a funeral service on Wednesday 28/01/26 at the Eldoret Sports Club from 9:30am.

Apostle Joseph fought a good fight, he has finished the race, he rests in eternal glory.

There will be a;

  • Memorial Service:Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, at IVC Church, Eldoret, starting at 9:00 AM.
  • Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, at Eldoret Sports Club,
