JACQUELINE KWAMBOKA SWANYA

On behalf of the family advocate,Wyclif A. Swanya and Adv. Mrs Priscilla Swanya (Swanya & Swanya Advocates) wishes to announce, with deep sorrow, the untimely passing and promotion to glory of our beloved daughter, Jacqueline Kwamboka Swanya, in Ottawa, Canada.

Jacqueline hails originally from Kitutu Masaba Subcounty, Riamisiani Village, and now settled in Borabu Subcounty/Mwongori Settlement Scheme, Nyamira County.

She was the sister of Jemimah Kemunto Swanya, Eunice Kerubo Swanya, Mercy Mosubi Swanya Wewa, Aaron Matwere Swanya, and Micah Swanya; and sister-in-law of Kennedy Ometty Wewa.

Niece of the late Jones Ombonyo Swanya, Joseph Ogeto Swanya, Daniel Mokaya Swanya, Peter Mokaya, Elijah Ombonyo Swanya, Joseph Mayieka Nyagesero of New Jersey, USA, Kingsley, Matweres, Rainis, Nyasimis, Ombuis Machiras, Nyanotis, and Tabitha Otuke, Stephen and Gertrude Miyogo, among others.

Cousin of Advocate Swanya Victor Ogeto (Swanyalaw Advocates), NLC Chair, Otachi Omanwa, Julius Mokaya, Standard Media Group, Samuel, Tom Mongare, Peter Mokayas, Joseph Ogetos, Jones Ombonyos, Mokayas, Daniel Mokayas, Elijah Ombonyos, Ombonyo Matweres.

Granddaughter of Adv. Thomas Maosa, Swanya, Mayieka, Raini, Nyasimi, Matwere, Ombui, Nyanoti, Machira, and Nyambariga, among others.

The body is currently lying at Whelan Funeral Home, Ottawa, Canada.

The remains of our daughter will be repatriated to Kenya for her final resting place.

The interment date will be announced later, but will take place at Borabu Sub-County, Mongori Settlement Scheme.

The service will be held at the grave site.

The major fundraiser to defray repatriation and funeral expenses is today, 18th December 2025, at All Saints Cathedral, in the St. James Room, from 5.00 pm.
