It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mrs. Gladwell Wacu Muhuyu on 2nd December 2025.
She was the beloved wife of Richard Muhuyu Gikonyo, and mother of Stephanie Wangui Muhuyu.
Daughter of the late Samuel Kirunda Kunyiha and the late Jemimah Nyokabi Kirunda.
Daughter-in-law of the late Stephen Gikonyo Gathecha and the late Kathleen Wangui Gikonyo.
Sister of the late Mary Nyambura Kiruthi, the late Muchai Kirunda, the late Gerald Waruingi Kirunda, Ephantus Kiriga Kirunda, Catherine Wanjiku Kuria, and John Njau Kirunda.
She was sister-in-law of Daniel and Antoinette Gikonyo, Stephen and Mukami Njoroge, George and Margaret Thagichu, Edwin and Rose Gathecha, Ernest and Edith Chege Mbarathi, Florence Nderitu, Caroline and Peter Gitau, the late Peter Njenga Kiruthi, Grace Nyakairu Waruingi, Lucy Wanjiku Kiriga, Sammy Kuria Kinyanjui, and Caroline Nyaguthii Njau.
She was a beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at PCEA Evergreen Church, Runda, starting at 5:30 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Tuesday, 9th December 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
The funeral service will be held at PCEA Evergreen Church, Runda, starting at 10:00 a.m. on the same day, followed by interment at the family farm in Kiairia Location, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiambu County.
