It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved father, Moses Mapuna Ayilo, on 3rd November 2025, while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu.
Moses was the son of the late Ezekiel Ayilo Elabuna and the late Joyce Kadesani Elabuna.
Loving husband of Grace Mwenesi Ayilo. Devoted father of Mercy Kentrone Ayilo (University of Pennsylvania, USA), David Ombonyo (TotalEnergies), Carolyne Osita (Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital), Stanslaus Ayilo (Safaricom), Erick Ayilo (Compassion Assisted Projects) and Joyce Gimase (Judiciary, Office of the Chief Justice).
He was Father-in-law of Sylvester, Sarah, Linda and Phyllis.
A doting grandfather of Whitney, Shalom, Allegra, Jayden, Oside, Gemini, Elrad, Garnett, Lennon, Anselm, Gracious, AverlyGrace.
He was a loving brother of the late Dorcas, the late Agnes, Rael, Miriam, the late Repha, the late Shem and the late Paul
The cortege will leave Kakamega mortuary on 13th November 2025 for an overnight stay in his Kakamega home.
We shall then proceed to Bunyore on 14th November 2025 for a night vigil.
Burial will take place on Saturday 15th November 2025 at Vihiga County, North East Bunyore Ward, Echichibulu Location, Ebunangwe Sub Location, Esirembela Village.
Moses lived a life marked by integrity, love of his family, faith in God and service to community.
Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life well lived and a legacy that will remain in our hearts forever.
