It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden and untimely demise of Shujaa Ponda Vidzo, of the Ministry of Health, State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards – Division of National Laboratory Services, KNPHI, which occurred on 16th October, 2025 in Mombasa County.
The beloved son of the late Mzee Justin Ponda and Mama Florence Dama (Hawe Ndimba).
Husband of Jacinta Wanjiru Shujaa and dear father of Ronald Ngala Shujaa, Florence Dama Shujaa, and Margaret Nyambura Shujaa. Brother of Judith, Lucy, Nathaniel, Kelvin, Sidi, Caroline, Nancy, Rehema, Michael, Kabibi, Dennis, Joyce, the late Pauline, Santa, Patience, and Eric.
A cherished brother-in-law of Ngumbao Katana, Mariamu Vidzo, Benito Kimadu, and Rehema Chome, and a proud grandfather of Beverley Wanjiru. Beloved uncle, treasured cousin, loyal friend, and true comrade of many.
Prayer and funeral planning meetings are currently being held at his residence in Mungaara Residency, Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu County, the family home in Buxton, Mombasa County, and at Vishakani Village, Kaloleni Sub-County, Kilifi County.
The cortege leaves Jocham Hospital Funeral Home, Mombasa, on Friday 31st October 2025 for burial at Vishakani, Kaloleni Sub-County, Kilifi County on 1st November 2025,
