It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing and promotion to glory of Mr. John Mwangi Wanjiru which occurred on 1st October 2026 at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH). At the time of his demise, he was an employee of Numerical Machining Complex (NMC) Ltd.
John was the beloved son of the late Joseph Njoroge Gicheru and the late Magdalena Wanjiru Njoroge. He was the devoted husband of the late Esther Akinyi and loving father of Dorcas Nyambura, Joshua Njoroge and Emmanuel Onyango.
He was a cherished brother of Joseph Njoroge and Margaret Wanjiru. Son-in-law of the late Paul Onyango & late Dorcas Juma. Brother-in-law of the late Paul Onyango & late Lilian Atieno, Harrison Orieno, Linus Odhiambo and Caroline Nkatha.
His uncles: Karanja, Ndugu, Njeru, Mwangi and late Gathogo, Kiningo, Peter Omollo, Paul Odero, Paul Onyango and Nahashon Amimo. His aunties: Wanjiku, Esther, Njeri Gathoni, Grace, watari, late Nyambura Seraphine, Anyango, Teresa, Anyango, Pascaline Anyango, Grace Adoyo among others.
The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Kabati on Friday, 16th October 2026 at 9.30 am to his rural home in Githathi village, Kandara Constituency in Murang’a County, where he will be laid to rest.
