GODFREY ERIC WASWA – Funeral & Burial Details Kenya

29th July, 1979 ~ 9th October, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Godfrey Eric Waswa, who departed this life on 9th October 2026 following complications arising from a blood clot in the brain after a fall.

Born in July, 1979 of the late Zackayo Waswa and the late Margaret Waswa, Eric was a beloved brother of Fanice, Fred, Dr. David, the late Anthony, Bernard, Dr. George, and Selestine. He was a devoted father of Brian, Elsie, Tumishe, Ruth, and Asher, and husband of the late Marianna Mwachanya.

Eric was an accomplished professional in the financial sector. He attended Kimatuni RC Primary School and Chesamisi High School before pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Financial Engineering at JKUAT and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. His career included service at Kingsland Court Trusts and Benefits Services Limited, ICEA Lion, and the Central Bank of Kenya.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, 13th October 2026, at CITAM Karen, Nairobi starting at 2:00 p.m., after which the cortege will proceed from Bungoma. The burial service will take place on Saturday, 17th October 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at his ancestral home in Kimatuni, Bumula Constituency, Bungoma County.

He will be deeply missed by his children, siblings, extended family, friends, and colleagues. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
