It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Alfred Gitau Wairimu (Alfie), formerly of Safaricom PLC, who passed away on 23rd September 2026.
Alfred Gitau Wairimu, popularly known as Alfie, was a loving husband of Winnie Gichuki; a devoted father of Alyssa WanJiru, Amira Wairimu, and Anaisa Muthoni; a beloved son of Nancy Wairimu Gitau; a caring brother of Kennedy Mutune; a nephew of Mutune wa Gitau (Prof.); and a son-in-law of Mrs. Jane Gichuki.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Kabati Funeral Home on 3rd October 2026 at 7:00 a.m., proceeding to Kiria Village, Mugoiri, Kiharu, Murang’a County, where prayers and the burial service will take place.
