It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Moses Wachira Kariuki, who tragically lost his life in an aircraft accident in the Kajjado area on 18th September 2026. At the time of his passing, Moses was a Commercial Pilot Trainee at the Kenya School of Flying.
Moses was the beloved son of Hezron Kariuki Thiong’o (formerly of Kenya Revenue Authority-Embu) and Leah Muthoni Kariuki. He was a cherished brother of Grace Wagumo, Zenus Mwendwa, Brian Thiong’o, and Fraciah Wairimu Thiong’o, and a loving uncle of Ella Nduku, Leah Muthoni, Elan Mwendwa, and Hezron Karera.
The burial ceremony will be held on Friday, 25th September 2026, at ACK St. Paul’s Kiurugi, The body will be collected from Montezuma Funeral Home in Kabati at 7:30 a.m., after which the cortege will proceed to the church for the funeral service. Thereafter, the cortege will proceed to the family farm in Wahundura Village, where Moses will be laid to rest.
