It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mrs Magdalene Mulongo Kitazi which occurred at her home at Emanda Village, Vihiga County on 7th September 2026.
She was daughter to the Late Senior Chief Elijah Rupia and Mama Agnetta Mbodze Rupia. She was sister to late George Rupia, late Mrs Ruth Matano, late Mrs Martha Mwendau, late Joseph Rupia, late Mrs Catherine Mwarua, Mrs Evelyn Kache Gidahi, Eric Rupia and Leslie Juma Rupia all from Mazeras, Kwale County.
Wife of Wilson Ayuya Kitazi (formerly of Ministry of Foreign Affairs) mother to Dr Nelly Aliviza Kitazi, Judith Kadara Kitazi and Caroline Itusa Kitazi Bums. Mother in law to Brian Burns. Grandmother to Cynthia, Alyah, Aimen, Joshua, Kieran, Elijah and Kalen. Great grandmother to Jayden, Ryan, Olivia, Carter and Younes.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom and faith that will forever be treasured by her entire extended family.
BURIAL ARRANGEMENTS
Thursday – 17th September, 2026: The body leaves Vihiga Funeral Parlor for vigil at her home in Emanda Village, Vihiga County.
Saturday – 19th September, 2026: Burial service and her internment at her home in Emanda Village, Vihiga County.
