It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend, Teresia Katui Kamanda, who passed away on 1st September 2026.
She was the beloved wife of Reuben Kamanda Mwikya and a loving mother of seven sons: Jackson Kitonga Kamanda, Joseph Mwikya Kamanda, Nicholas Ngunuu, William Mutesia, Desmond Musembi, the late Brian Mutuku and Richard Kyalo.
She was a cherished mother-in-law of Joyce Nzilani, Judy Mueni, Doris Wanja, Margaret Waithera and Elijoy Ngatha.
She was a loving grandmother of Tevin Kamanda, Lisa Mwende, Faith Kambua, Brian Mutuku, Sasha Katui, Blessing Mathembo, Shanice Mueni, Quincy Ndauu, Chelsea Mumbee, Terry Mwende, Teddy Kamanda, Tramil Kooloba, Sasha Tifa, Gabriel Kamanda, JessicaNeisha Katui, Sheila Mwende, Zoe Chebet, Kamanda King and Ariela Katui.
Teresia was the only surviving sister of the late Aunty Kailu, Nduku, Unde Katui, Mungoo and Nyamu. She was a beloved aunt of Juma, Sarah, Grace, Philip, Pastor Mumo, Mwende, Mothe, Mulwa, Mwedwa, Mutisia, Monicah, Mutanu, Kyove, Makale and many others who will forever cherish her memory.
The family announces that the burial ceremony will take place on Saturday, 19th September 2026, at her home in Kaumu Sub-location, Zombe Location, Mutito District, Kitui East.
May her soul rest in the bosom of the Lord.
