It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of our family matriarch, Mama Mary Nyangweso Nyamwamu which occurred on Saturday 29th August 2026 at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi.
Loving daughter of the late Herodion Kebati and the late Priscah Bisimba of Nyagiki, Bobasi, Kisii County.
Beloved wife of the late Mwalimu Johnson Nyamwamu of Bomachoge Chache, Sengera-Bosoti Ward, Nyabioto Village, Kisii County.
Mother of Elizabeth, the late advocate Charles, the late Fred, Fridah, Dorcas, Kennedy & Moses, Andrew (Interior), Isabel (KIMC), Norah (KTDA), Beatrice (Agriculture), George and Jane (NIA).
She leaves behind 52 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Meetings are being held daily at Ongata Rongai (Andrew Nyamwamu’s residence) and mama’s home in Nyabioto Village, Kisii County.
A fundraiser will take place at Professional Center on Tuesday 8th September 2026 starting at 5:00 p.m.
A Funeral service will take place at Nairobi Central Seventh Day Adventist Church on Wednesday 9th September 2026 starting at 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Friday 11th September 2026. There will be a church service at her home on Saturday 12th September 2026. Mama will be interred on Sunday 13th September 2026 at her home, Nyabioto Village, Bomachoge Chache, Kisii County.
