It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mr Zachariah B.N Kanaiya on Monday October 5th, 2026.

Son of the late Bacia Kanaiya and late Lucy Waigumo of Thiha, Mukurweini.

Husband of the late Lillian G N Kanaiya. Loving father of the late Zachariah Bacia, late Sarah Waigumo, Elizabeth Nyokabi & Kamau and Eva Wangari. Grandfather of David Ndegwa.

Brother of late Kamau Kanaiya, William Gathogo, late Simon Gichuki, late Catherine Wangari, Mary Wambura, Elaine Njeri and Winifred Wakarindi.

Son-in-law of the late Mwalimu Njau and late Sybilla Kearie of Kinoo.

Brother-in-law of the late Eluid Kearie, late Lois Wainaina, Mary Kanyotu, Elizabeth Kinuthia, Ruth Anampiu, late Moses Kearie, late Hannah Ndenderu, late Esther Wanjiru and David Gichangajau.

Meetings are being held daily at PCEA Muiteero Church at 5.00pm.

There will be a memorial service at PCEA Muiteero Church on Sunday 11th October at 3.00pm.

Cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 8.30am.

The funeral service will follow at PCEA Muiteero Church at 10.00am.

Interment at Langata Cemetery.
