With deep sadness and acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Nathaniel Ondieki Maina (formerly of Standard Chartered Bank) on 20th August 2026 at The Nairobi Hospital.
Nathaniel was a treasured son of the late Reuben Maina and the late Esther Kerubo Maina.
Beloved husband of Modester Kemuma Maina (formerly of Commercial Bank of Africa).
Devoted father of Vincent Nyariki, Johnstone Nyakundi, Lynda Bonareri and Jessica Kemunto.
Father-in-law of Kelly Maina and Leona Berrie.
Grandfather of David, Kerubo, Lauren, Evan, and Kianna.
Brother of Moraa, Nyamuita, the late Stephen, Kwamboka, Elizabeth, the late Julius, Ouru, the late Abuga, the late Jonathan, Ebisiba, Clemencia and the late Ndemo.
A fundraiser will be held on Tuesday, 8th September 2026, at All Saints’ Cathedral from 5:00 p.m.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, 9th September 2026, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Lang’ata, from 11:00 a.m.
The funeral service and burial will be held on Friday, 11th September 2026, from 10:00 a.m. at his home in Metembo, Kisii County.
