It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu Thomas Wekesa Murumba that occurred on Tuesday, 28th July 2026 following a battle with illness.
He was beloved husband of Dorothy Wasike and father of Janet Wekesa, Dr. David Wekesa, Paul Wekesa, Job Wekesa, Lilian Wekesa, Augustine Wekesa, Edelquin Wekesa and Juliet Wekesa.
He was son of the late Mathias Murumba Mabunde of the Bakeka Clan and Clementina Namarome of the Baliuli Clan.
Brother of the late Sylvester Murumba, Francis Murumba, the late Maurice Murumba, the late Juliana Murumba, Mercy Murumba, the late Gladys Murumba and Pius Murumba.
Grandfather of Sharon, Azel, Peter, Austinie, Annabel, Arnold, Alvin, Angel, Blessings, Florian, Adrian and Jayden.
Father-in-law of Fred, Elisabeth, Francisca and Cynthia.
Son-in-law of the late Pascal Wasike of the Bachemwile Clan and Mary Wasike of the Bakhoma Clan.
He is survived by eight children and twelve grandchildren.
The burial will take place on Saturday, 15th August 2026, at his home in Sikata Village, West Nalondo Sub-location, Nangwe Location, Bungoma Central Sub-county, Bungoma County.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
