
It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Isaiah Karanja Chierah, which occurred on Tuesday, 21st July 2026.
Son of the late Elijah Chiera and the late Lydia Theru Chiera, son-in-law of the late Arnespaul Mwangi and the late Damaris Muthoni.
Beloved husband of the late Beatrice Kamwende Karanjah Chierah.
Loving father of Curtis Chiera Karanja, Lydia Wanjiru Webo, and Joanne Muthoni Karanja.
Father-in-law of Andrew Webo Situma.
Cherished grandfather of Abigail Kamwende Webo, Malaika Nandechia Webo, Aika Kamwende, and many others.
Brother of the late Wangui and Mutura, Maina and Wamuyu, Wakonyu and Machira, Wanjiku and Mumo. Brother-in-law of the late Nduta Kamanga, the late Gacau, Wanjiku, Wambui (Rev.) Mugo, Wanja, Wangui, Mwaura, Kingangi, Wanjiru, and Gicheha. Uncle to many.
Isaiah was a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend. He will be fondly remembered for his humility, wisdom, generosity, unwavering support and deep love for his family and community.
Funeral meetings are being held daily at the family residence in Thome Estate, near Ruaraka Academy from 7:00 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements. A Memorial service will be held at P.C.E.A Gateway Church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m.
The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Hospital on Tuesday, 28th July 2026, at 8:00 a.m. for a funeral service at P.C.E.A. Mathia Church, Ndima Tea Factory, Mathira, Nyeri County, followed by burial at the family home in Kiriko Village, near Mathia Church.
