It is with heavy hearts but with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee John Assumani Salim on 12 th March 2026 after a short illness bravely borne.
He was son of the late Assumani bin Marijani & Amina Juma.
Loving husband of Milka Wanjikù Assumani.
Loving father of Esther Amina, Sophia Waithìra, Ruth Zenah, George Salim, Naomi Assumani and Mary Wairimù.
Father-in-law of Dickson Ndichù, Moses Njenga, Samwel Njoroge, Eucabeth Omache and Sekou Owino.
A doting grandfather of Milkah & Lionel, Jack, Maggie, Kibe & Betty, Mùgùre & Kanja, Milka & Thiong’o, Derrick, Wambùi, Victor, Johnnie, Cynthia, Stacy, Abeni, Cindy & Yohance.
A doting great grandfather of Gabu, Angel, Adanna, Pendo, Abby, Njenga, Cerah, Naythan, Jesse, Meghan & Oliver.
Brother of Mohammed, Adam, the late Juma, the late Hassan and the late Omari.
Brother-in-law of the late John Mùngai & Dorcas, the late Naomi, the late Leah, the late Tabitha, the late Gathoni and Wokì. An uncle to many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Njoro for funeral arrangements.
A memorial service will be held at PCEA Kihingo, Mutukanio Njoro on 18th March 2026 at 10:00 am, followed by interment at his farm in Njoro Hill.
