It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Philip Maina Kamau, which occurred on Monday, 15th December 2025.
He was the beloved husband of Catherine Kabura Maina and a loving father of the late Lucy Wahiu Maina, Norman Gituri Maina, Anne Muthoni Maina, and Richard Githu Maina.
He was father-in-law of Millicent Wanjiku Gituri and Joyce Maina.
He was a loving guardian of Paul, Kate, Lima and Charles of the late Lucy.
Dear brother of Shem and Teresa Wanjohi, the late James and Lucy Mwangi, the late Dr. Augustine Muita and Dr. Jane Muita, Francis and Jane Nderitu, the late William and Margaret Muthee, Joseph and Naomi Nduhiu, and Mary Njeri.
He was a loving grandfather and uncle to many.
The late Philip Maina Kamau was a resident of Githurai Kimbo and a retired staff member of the University of Nairobi, Department of Civil Engineering, where he served diligently until his retirement.
Family and friends are meeting at his home in Githurai Kimbo, behind Fountain Junior, daily from 5:00 PM.
A requiem mass will be held on Friday, 19th December, at his home, starting at 3:00 pm.
The cortege will depart from Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday, 23rd December at 6:00 am for burial at his farm in Timau.
